 A Honky-Tonk Taken

As I've said before, one of my ideal dates is at a Honky-Tonk. The closest I've gotten to a Honky-Tonk in Laredo, TX was called The Roundup. It started out as a great bar, then they made it into two clubs: The Roundup, which was inside and Ol' Town, which was outside and Ol' Town had a Mechanical Bull. Here is where I competed in Mechanical Bullridin' for about 3 years (won 41 first places).
The owners must've gotten greedy cause they decided to make it into 3 clubs. They bought out the restaurant sittin' next door, and made it into 57th Street (Salsa-Merengue). It did well for about 2 years, but since they invested so much into this place, then a place called Graham's Central Station (seems like a franchise to me, since they've popped up all over Texas) came to town and took all the business, they've had to shut down.
Graham's has about 5 clubs under one roof. Karoake, Salsa, 80's, Country & Tejano.

Sad to say, my old stompin' ground The Roundup has been taken from me. Ahhh, the memories. Me and all those guys I drank with will always have The Roundup.

 Buffalo Wings...from Hooters.

Even though we know my boyfriend/husband will ogle the girls, Cowgirls really like to go to Hooters. Real Cowgirls love football and what better place to find a man who loves football, than at Hooters. I wish we had one in Laredo, TX. Come Superbowl Sunday, I'll be in San Anton, eating wings, BSing with the guys, drinking beer, and enjoyin' the game.

 On A Date

Take me to a BBQ place, or picnic on a farm.
Then, maybe horseback riding, then at night take me to a Honky-Tonk. Spin me round and round and maybe a little billiards.

 My First Blog Post

I love Country & Western Music
It's real and hits right where you can feel it. The words come from real life experiences. I can't count the number of songs that I can relate to. My favorites Whiskey Lullaby, He Stopped Loving Her Today, and of course Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me.
